The Brendan Barker Foundation will award two scholarships each year to current or former junior umpires in the Alameda Little League who are or will be college studentsin the fall of that academic year. The students should be pursuing a degree at a college or university in a program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor's or higher degree. For the 2026-27 academic year, the scholarships will be $1,000 each.

The selection committee will be comprised of the Brendan Barker Foundation Board of Directors, one representative of the Alameda Little League Board and one member of the Barker family.

 

The scholarships will be awarded annually by May 31 with applications accepted until April 30.

 

In honoring Brendan Barker’s spirit and care for the community, applicants should demonstrate outstanding citizenship and contribution to Alameda Little League in the past or present.
